Class Act is the title and Gay Abandon will be serving just that at their summer concert this year, says Addie Orfila. 'Sunday 24th June will see Yorkshire's premier lgb choir back at their favourite venue, Leeds College of Music, for an afternoon of light classics.' With music from such composers as Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Charles Wood and David Fligg, the concert will also include the world premier of local gay composer Ian Ackroyd's new piece, Different Drummer. Offering something a little different from the usual camp classics, this concert endeavours to cater for all its audience's diverse musical tastes and at only £9/£7.50 a ticket (including a free glass of bubbly and strawberries!) it certainly reeks of class.
