Students from the University of Sheffield's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) Committee held their annual campaign week last month to help encourage a better understanding on campus and in the local community of lgbt issues.
It ran from March 19th to the 23rd and focused particularly on international lgbt issues.
As part of the week there was a series of events and activities, including a gay dance-off outside the Students’ Union and a debating session to discuss whether Britain should cut ties with homophobic countries.
Students and staff also got the opportunity to listen to international students talking about the attitudes of their home countries to homosexuality.
A series of stalls were set up in and around the Students’ Union, so that people could talk to committee members and find out more about what the LGBT Committee does.
