Submissions are invited for artwork for an lgbt-themed art show in central Sheffield in June, to coincide with the planned South Yorkshire LGBT Pride.
The exhibition will focus on the theme No Inhibition: The LGBT Experience in South Yorkshire through the Medium of Art, and works in 2-D media and sculpture (limited space is available for this at the venue), as well as electronic works (videos, computer graphic art, etc submitted on DVD) will be welcomed. The exhibition will open in mid-June and the deadline for submissions is 31st May, after which submissions will be assessed under suitability criteria. Artists submitting a work for the show are advised to submit an image of their work as an email attachment to artexhibition@alacroart.com
In the case of any animated/filmed/audio works, a full copy of the work on DVD/CD should be submitted by post.
The show will be launched with an opening party in mid-June. The opening date will be announced in the May issue of Shout!
