Gay Abandon are hard at work, getting ready for their fantastic birthday bash! It’s ten years since Yorkshire’s biggest lgb choir started out and they’re planning to celebrate in style. The choir asked their audiences what they had enjoyed most from their first decade, and they’re building a rather special evening around the answers. We can’t reveal all the surprises but our sources reveal we may get to see the fabulous ‘wands of colour’ on stage again.
The choir is off to spend a whole weekend away at Beamsley in a few weeks. This will give them loads of opportunity to loosen up their vocal chords and put on their dancing shoes to work on their routines.
The concert takes place at The Venue, Leeds College of Music on Saturday 19th July (see the ad in this issue for details).
Why not go along and listen out for your favorite tunes; and if you haven’t heard the choir perform before this is a great chance to catch up on all the great stuff you’ve missed!
As an added bonus the choir will also be launching their first public CD so you can take a bit of Gay Abandon home and relive those special memories.
Tickets are available from the college box office (0113 222 3434). Their last concert there sold out, so don’t leave it too late! More information about the concert and Gay Abandon from their website.
